Homeowners, Landlords and Private Tenants can lower the cost of fuel bills, improve the value of their home all with hassle free Loft, Cavity Wall, Internal or External insulation from Urban energy Solutions.
Urban Energy Solutions has funding grants ready to share with eligible households to help improve the energy efficiency of their homes.
Low-income households (under £31,000) or in receipt of benefits are eligible for funding grants under the scheme that aims to improve low energy performance certificate (EPC) E to G rated Electric heated homes through energy efficiency measures including Solar PV, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP),Home Insulation and First Time central heating.
You’ll have seen solar panels in many locations, but most notably on the roof space of some of your neighbours. Solar panels capture the energy from daylight and convert it to electricity that can be used to power your home. By installing solar panels, you will be generating your own renewable energy and contributing to the drive to cut carbon emissions.
Solar PV panels consist of multiple cells made from semi conducting materials, which when light shines upon them, electricity is created. The electricity created is direct current (DC) so this is converted by an inverter to alternating current (AC) so it can be used in the homes. The electricity created can be used, stored in a battery, or exported to the grid. Solar panels can still generate on gloomy days and don’t need direct sunlight to work. They require light not direct sunlight in order to work. The brighter the light is, the higher the electricity output. Internal Wall Insulation goes on the side of your external wall – so you will not need to fit it on every surface – just the surface facing the outside. Unless you have a corner room, then this will be required on two walls. By doing this, the insulation will work to its optimal level, therefore allowing you to use less electric to keep the heat inside – thus saving you money on your bills!
